State Police Say Speed and Slick Roads Influenced Deadly Crash in Kalkaska County

State Police say speed and slick road conditions were factors in a deadly crash, in Kalkaska County.

The accident happened on M-72 in Bear Lake Township, Saturday afternoon.

Police say a 73-year-old man from Brighton, lost control of his car and crossed the center-line, hitting a pick-up truck head-on.

The driver was hospitalized with serious injuries.

His 68-year-old female passenger died at the scene.

There is no word on the condition of the pick-up truck or it's victims.
