Update: Wind Causes Power Outages in Northern Michigan

In this update, power has been restored to some people in Northern Michigan.

Cloverland Electric tells us 700 people remain without power at this time.

Line Crews are working throughout the night to restore power.

5:30pm - Cloverland Electric is working on thousands of power outages in Northern Michigan caused by wind.

Current Outages: Brimley, Paradise, Sault Ste. Marie, Sugar Island, Kinross, Dafter, St. Ignace, Hessel, Eckerman, McMillan, Naubinway, DeTour Village and Trout Lake areas.

Wind advisories have been issued to Mason and Oceana Counties.
