UPDATE: US-10 Reopens After Closing for Overturned Fuel Tanker

Posted: Updated:

UPDATE: A busy stretch of US-10 is now open after being closed for most of the day while crews worked to right an overturned fuel tanker.

The highway shut down just before 9 AM this morning, but has reopened in the last few hours.

No one was hurt in the rollover and there were no gas leaks from the tanker.

A precautionary evacuation for a half mile radius around the truck rollover site has since been lifted.

The tanker rolled over at US 10 and 60th Ave near Evart in Osceola County.

Witnesses say a semi truck pulled out into the fog without seeing the tanker rolling down the highway.

The semi truck swerved to avoid a collision but by then the tanker had already slid off the roadway and began to tip.

9&10's Eric Lloyd was on the scene all day and has returned with more details.
