Toys, Clothing Needed After Gaylord Fire Destroys Original Holiday Donations

Posted: Updated:

Agencies in Otsego County need your help to help others have a Merry Christmas.

A fire that started late Friday night not only destroyed Alpine Laundry and Dry Cleaners in Gaylord, but also thousands of dollars of donated toys and clothes meant for families in need this holiday season.

A fire investigator is expected to look into the cause sometime this week.

Meanwhile, agencies involved in Toys for Tots, and the Otsego County Community Giving Program are forced to start over.

Donations can be dropped off at the Otsego County United Way, in Gaylord, or at any collection box at Otsego County businesses.

9&10's Christina Vecchioni and photojournalist Eric Davis have more details on how the community is stepping up to help.
