Cadillac Area Ski Club Hosts 40th Annual Ski Swap and Sale

Posted: Updated:

Cadillac Junior High School was all about skiing, Saturday.

The Cadillac Area Ski Club hosted its 40th Annual Ski Swap and Sale.

The event started in 1972 to support the Viking Ski Team.

But, now this one day annual event raises funds with donated used gear, to also support Junior Ski Race programs and Adult Ski Race programs.

The sale offers equipment at sale prices to allow people a change to ski, who might not be able to afford new equipment.

Joe Host, the Director of the Cadillac Area Ski Club says,

"We run quite a few people through here, every year.  You get a pretty good crowd in the morning.  They come through...it's been a consistent support to the community, where they get an ability to get out on the snow for spending far less money on the used equipment."

The Junior and Adult Ski programs and the sale supports take place at Caberfae Peaks.
