UPDATE: Suspect Charged in Montcalm Co. Homicide - Northern Michigan's News Leader

A 29 year old Ionia man has been charged with one count of Open Murder in the death of Julie Lynn Danielson, of Pierson Township.

The suspect is an acquaintance of the victim and has been in police custody since early on in the investigation.

Sheriff's Detectives continued to investigate several leads in locations throughout west Michigan and were able to piece together the incident.

Other potential suspects were eliminated.

The case remains under investigation and the name of the subject will be released when is he arraigned.
