Hunter Finds Meth Dump Site

Posted: Updated:

What looked like a pile of garbage in the woods turned out to be much more, and now police are left searching for the culprit.

A man discovered a meth dump site while hunting.

The site was found Saturday morning in Wexford County, on state land near 33 Road and 200th Avenue in Cherry Grove Township.

The hunter found the site, smelled the chemicals, and immediately called police.

The meth dump site contained components, chemicals, and equipment all used to manufacture meth.

The Traverse Narcotics Team and Seventh District State Meth Team will deem what is hazardous, and dispose of it properly.

Any other hunters that may come across suspected meth dump sites are urged to contact their local law enforcement.
