Eastern Elementary Community Gathers to Remember Zeke Goodwin

Posted: Updated:

The Eastern Elementary School family gathered together today, to remember one of the school's brightest stars.

Ezekiel Goodwin was loved by so many and it showed tonight, as people came together to honor his life.

Zeke was killed this summer when he was struck by a truck, while riding his bike on a service road, at the Northwest Michigan Fair Grounds.

Tonight, his closest family, friends, and the Eastern Elementary School Community dedicated a park bench in his honor.

Three stones were placed where the park bench will sit, when it's finished.

For Zeke's family, his lasting impression is something they can find comfort in.

That bench will be delivered and placed at the Eastern Elementary Playground in late December.

Zeke's friends and family say they want everyone to use it to remember him.
