Police Looking for a Man They Say Got Away With Cash From Local Gas Station

Posted: Updated:

Jim Hurd often visits the area where the robbery happened; he says he's not scared, but wishes things like this didn't happen so close to home.

Police say last night, a man pushed an Traverse City Admiral gas station store clerk into a back room and locked him in. While the robbery was still going on, the locked up clerk called 911. Police tell us this particular station has been hit once before; they don't believe the robber had a car, but instead took off on foot.

Police are looking for a white man around 5'7", medium build, about 35 years old. They say he was wearing a brown or beige and black plaid hoodie pulled up over his head. He also had on a gray scarf covering his face, blue jeans, and gloves.
