As the masses take to the wilderness to snag the elusive white tail, the DNR and their conservation officers are in full force trying to keep everyone safe and sound.
Opening Day kicks off their busiest two weeks of the year.
The officers will handle every complaint from trespassing, to improper tagging, to disputes between hunters on who was here first.
Some see them as a nuisance but the role of the conservation officer is to make sure they catch potential problems before they become something illegal or dangerous.
