BREAKING NEWS: Traverse City Police Searching For Robbery Suspect

Police say they are searching for a man who robbed a gas station late last night.

Police tell 9&10 News one of the store clerks called 9-1-1 while the robbery was still happening.

We're told the robbery happened at the Admiral Station on the corner of Front and Barlow Streets in Traverse City, around 10:30 last night.

We have surveillance video of the robbery.

Police say the robber pushed one of the store clerks into a back room and locked him in.

Then, he handed a female clerk a backpack, and demanded money from the cash register.

Police tell 9&10 News, the suspect left the gas station on foot heading eastbound.

A K-9 Team didn't have any luck tracking him down.

The suspect is described as a 35-year-old white male, about 5 foot 7 inches tall, medium build. He was last seen wearing a black plaid hoodie and a gray scarf covering his face with blue jeans and gloves.

The employees were not injured.
