February in Traverse City Will Bring Lots of Laughter With Winter Comedy Festival

Posted: Updated:

February in Traverse City will once again be a month full of laughs...the Winter Comedy Festival is back.

It's the sixth year for the festival, but last year it was canceled.

This year, the National Cherry Festival and the Traverse City Film Festival are teaming together to present the best in American Comedy, hosted by Michael Moore and Jeff Garlin.

The festival will take place in downtown Traverse City, February 14th through 17th.

Organizers tell us that the new partnership will include a lot of family friendly activities as well, which will benefit Traverse City.

Trevor Tkach, the Executive Director of the Cherry Festival says,

"It's just a lot more activity.  Hopefully that resonates into more business for Traverse City and more fun for the community...that is really what we're shooting for in February."

The comedian lineup will be announced within the next couple of months and tickets for the event will go on sale in January.
