The Department of Natural Resources will be increasing the price for the Michigan Recreation Passport in 2013.
The new price jumps from $10 to $11.
The Passport allows vehicles to enter Michigan's state parks, recreation areas and forest campgrounds.
Residents who purchase the Passport through the Secretary of State's office when renewing their license plate will get immediate access to the Passport Perks rewards program. The rewards program is partnered with more than 1,100 local businesses offering discounts.
