Health Department Warns Short-Term Disruptions During Move

The Grand Traverse County Health Department would like to warn their residents and clients of the short-term disruptions during the move to their new location.

The move begins Tuesday, November 13th to their new location at 2600 LaFranier Road.

The health department home-based services and the Environmental Health and Animal Control offices will not be impacted by the move.

Many health department operations will be temporarily suspended. Routine services at the Garfield location will shut down Tuesday, November 13th and opening back up November 19th. The Dental Clinics North will shut down starting Wednesday, November 14th until November 19th.

Office phones and computer systems will be shut down and installed at the new location. The temporary telephone number is 231-995-6045 and will be available Tuesday, November 13th.

"The Health Department staff is working diligently to resume essential services as soon as possible. The cooperation and patience of the clients and the community is very much appreciated during this time of transition," said Grand Traverse County Health Department.
