A local soldier is injured in Afghanistan, and his community is rallying around him in hopes of a successful recovery.

A spaghetti dinner was held tonight to benefit Eric Lund, who is a native of Ludington.

Eric was injured in May during an attack, and suffered a significant number of injuries.

He is currently recovering at the San Antonio Military Medical Center in Texas.

American Legion Post #76 hosted the event which included the dinner and a silent auction.
