Five local volleyball teams win Regionals, advance to Quarterfinals

10 local high school volleyball teams played for regional titles on Thursday night.  Five came away with trophies.

In Class B, Cadillac shut out Ogemaw Heights 3-0 while Whitehall swept Reed City 3-0.

In Class C, Traverse City St. Francis cruised past Johannesburg-Lewiston 3-0.

In Class D, Onaway blanked Rudyard 3-0, Beal City swept Deckerville 3-0, and Leland edged Brethren 3-2.

The Quarterfinals schedule for Tuesday (Nov. 13) is listed below:

AT MANISTIQUE: Onaway vs. Crystal Falls Forest Park, 5 PM

AT MANISTIQUE: St. Francis vs. Calumet, 7 PM

AT CADILLAC: Cadillac vs. Whitehall, 7 PM

AT BIG RAPIDS: Leland vs. Battle Creek St. Philip, 7 PM

AT MT. MORRIS E.A. JOHNSON: Beal City vs. Waterford Our Lady, 6 PM
