UPDATE: Ninth Person Dies In Michigan from Fungal Meningitis

UPDATE: Another Michigan resident has died in the National Meningitis Outbreak.

Officials say an 88-year-old Ingham County woman is the 9th Michigan resident to die in the outbreak.

No other details about the woman have been released.

There have been 64 cases of Meningitis in Michigan, as well as one stroke and six joint infections.

The Fungal Meningitis has been linked to contaminated steroids that were shipped across the country from a pharmacy in Massachusetts.

    Breaking news tonight, 9&10 News learned convicted murderer Eric Knysz tried to hang himself in prison. We have confirmed Knysz is now on life support. Knysz was just sentenced last week to life in prison

    Knysz was on life support after the suicide attempt that took place Monday afternoon.
