UPDATE: Police Chasing After Suspect in Traverse City

UPDATE: Police are still searching for a man who led them on a chase earlier tonight in Grand Traverse County.

Police say they were trying to stop the suspect for a traffic violation, when he took off.

The man led them into a subdivision near Three Mile and South Airport roads, then got out of his truck and ran.

Police are still not sure why he was running from them.

We have 9&10's reporter Vanessa Fayz on the scene.

We have breaking news out of Traverse City, where police have surrounded a house on Buttermilk Loop Road near Three Mile and South Airport Road.

Officers surrounded and searched a home on Buttermilk Loop Road, but couldn't locate the suspect.

They are now using their canine team to search the area.

Officers tell us they are not sure at this time who the suspect is or why he is running.
