Michigan State Police Pulling Over "Suspicious" Cars Searching for I-96 Shooting Suspect

Posted: Updated:

Police are still investigating the scene of shootings on I-96.

State police Lt. Mike Shaw says vehicles parked along roadsides, coming out of wood lines on the side of freeways or doing anything else seemingly out of the norm are being stopped.

There have been more than two dozen reported shootings along I-96 from Oakland to Ingham counties and up M-52 into Shiawassee County.

Ten incidents have been in Wixom.

Michigan State Police believe the suspect is shooting at vehicles as they pass from the opposite direction.

A reward was upped on Monday to $102,000.
