We just got word into the 9&10 Newsroom that Traverse City Police are searching for a man who assaulted a woman near the Traverse City State Park.
We have a reporter on scene right now who says that they are searching the area with a K-9 Unit near the State Park.
Police say a 14-year-old girl was walking near the park when a man grabbed her on the TART Trail near 3 mile and Parsons in East Bay Township.
The victim bite the suspect on the arm and was able to break away from the man.
He followed her until she ran into a business to call Police.
Police are looking for a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, thin build, with a wrinkled face. He has blondish hair, wearing gray short sleeve t-shirt with a breast pocket. He was also seen wearing dark colored gloves and blue jeans. The victim told Police that he was an older male with a limp and his right foot was turned in.
