UPDATE: Armed Suspect Arrested on 5 Counts

The Isabella County Sheriff's Department has arrested Blake Ryan Ketner on 5 counts.

Ketner, a 29 year-old from Mt. Pleasant, has been arrested on the following charges: first degree home invasion, assault with a dangerous weapon, larceny of firearms, assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer, and felony firearm.

Ketner broke into a home in the 9000 block of E. Coleman Rd. yesterday. While he was in the home, the home-owner returned. A struggle ensued and Ketner hit the home-owner in the head with a handgun, and then ran out. The home-owner did fire a shot at Ketner, but did not hit him.

Ketner was finally located at his mother's home in the 8000 block of N. Wise Rd. where he ended up barricading himself. At approximately 8:51 PM, Ketner was taken into custody by law enforcement.

    Breaking news tonight, 9&10 News learned convicted murderer Eric Knysz tried to hang himself in prison. We have confirmed Knysz is now on life support. Knysz was just sentenced last week to life in prison
    UPDATE: 9 & 10 News has just confirmed that convicted murderer Eric Knysz has been declared brain dead.

    Knysz was on life support after the suicide attempt that took place Monday afternoon.
