More cases of fungal meningitis across the nation -- including the first one in Northern Michigan.
The Grand Traverse County Health Department is reporting the first suspected case in connection to a multi-state investigation.
The government says 14 people have died and 184 people have been sickened.
41 of those cases -- and three deaths -- happened in Michigan.
The meningitis outbreak is linked to a tainted steroid that was made at a facility in Massachusetts, and shipped to 75 clinics in 23 states.
Four of those clinics are in Michigan -- including Neuromuscular and Rehabilitation Associates of Northern Michigan, which had been unknowingly administering the tainted shots.
Fungal meningitis is not contagious -- you cannot get it if you didn't receive a tainted shot.
The health department has set up a hotline number if you did get the shot and have concerns -- it's 231-935-2199.
Call that number if you have any of the following symptoms: Fever, nausea, stiff neck, new or worsening headache, weakness or numbness, increasing pain, or redness or swelling at the point of injection.
9&10's Evan Dean and Photojournalist Jeff Blevins spoke to the health department about the latest case today.
They also sat down with an attorney to talk about why people are starting to seek legal counsel if they've been sickened.
