CONTINUING COVERAGE: Investigators Search Road Where Body Was Found

Posted: Updated:

Deputies don't want to miss a thing as they continue their investigation in to an Emmet County murder.

9&10 News found investigators using metal detectors along the side of Kiebel Road today, that's where Lyle Kopenkoskey was found dead earlier this month.

The homicide investigation centers around Kiebel Road, in Resort Township, where investigators found Kopenkoskey's body in a ditch October 3rd.

Today, Deputies searched the area where Kopenkoskey's body turned up, not far from his pick-up truck.

An autopsy confirmed he had been shot.

Kopenkoskey's family called for help after they found his unoccupied pick-up and knew he hadn't been to work that day.

The Sheriff says they still have not made any arrests.
