UPDATE: Armed Suspect Now in Police Custody

Posted: Updated:

We just received word into the 9&10 Newsroom that police have taken Blake Ketner into custody.

Sheriff Mioduszewski told 9&10 News they were looking for Ketner, an armed suspect who was in the process of stealing items from a home when the homeowner walked in.

Police say Ketner hit the homeowner over the head with a gun and took off with 2 or 3 handguns, at least one of the guns was loaded.

The incident happened in northeast Isabella County near the Loomis area, near the corner of Coleman and Vroman Roads.

9&10 News reporter Eric Lloyd said, "As soon as I got on the scene of the burglary about an hour and a half ago...Isabella County Sheriff Leo Mioduszewski got word that they believe they had the suspect... Blake Ketner pinned down in a home nearby. The Isabella County Emergency Response Unit is now on that scene and begun negotiations with the suspect. Right now the SWAT Team has surrounded the suspect's mother's house at the corner of Wise and Stevenson Lake Road. The Sheriff believes Ketner made off with 2 or 3 handguns and a shotgun and they may also be loaded."

Stay with us as we will continue to bring you the latest details as they become available.
