UPDATE: Lake County Inmates Sentenced in Colorado

Posted: Updated:

In this update, the two inmates who escaped from a Lake county Residential Re-Entry Program last year are going to prison.

Gregory Bradshaw and Kenneth Grauman broke free from the facility in Baldwin last September.

They were arrested nearly two weeks later in Canon City, Colorado.

Yesterday a judge in Colorado sentenced them to spend 18 years in prison after the pair pleaded guilty to burglary.

They have not been sentenced for escaping in Michigan.

When police arrested the two, investigators say they were cooking meth along with their girlfriends.

The Lake County inmates are back in custody, after a two week long, nationwide search.

32-year-old Kenneth Grauman II and 23-year-old Gregory Bradshaw were found in Cannon City, Colorado with their two girlfriends, Laura Lee Grauman and Brittany Rector.

The two inmates broke out of a minimum security, Residential Re-Entry Program in Baldwin, on September 29th.

The pair fled from police on several occasions and are believed to be responsible for numerous home invasions and at least two vehicles, one from Allegan County.

They were last spotted in Kokomo, Indiana after a stolen car from Michigan was recovered, on October 4th.

Several law enforcement agencies conducted a joint fugitive investigation and developed information that inmates and their girlfriends were likely in Colorado.

After receiving a tip, the Deputy U.S. Marshals and local officers were able to track the fugitives to a motel, where a stolen car was found in the parking lot.

Authorities say they found a meth lab in the motel in which they were staying.

Kenneth Grauman II and Gregory Bradshaw are being held at the Fremont County Jail, awaiting extradition to Michigan, on their felony charges.
