Northern Michigan Seeing a Wintry Mix

Posted: Updated:

Snow has been falling for a good part of the morning in Sault Ste. Marie, as you can see with this video taken earlier today.

It's coming down at a pretty good clip and has even become enough to shovel.

Reports are coming in of an inch or more in the Soo.

Before you rush to get your snowblower all tuned up, just wait a few hours.

As temperatures warm up later today, snow should eventually at least turn back into a mix, if not make the change back to rain, but probably not before picking up a bit more of accumulation.

Tonight begins to dry out a bit, leaving us with quite a bit less to work with on the radar.

Rain will again turn back into a wintry mix or snow for some overnight.

The U.P. could see a trace to an inch of snow tonight. Lows will be in the 20's and low 30's with N/NW winds 5-15 mph.
