The money was supposed to go to kids -- but police say a little league treasurer was keeping some of it for herself.
Sandy Enos is accused of cooking the books of two organizations in Grayling.
Now, the community is feeling a sense of betrayal.
Enos was arrested on several felony charges of embezzling money from the Grayling Little League, and the Grayling Football and Boys' Basketball Spirit Clubs.
Enos is the former treasurer for the little league, and she helped run the spirit clubs -- which are run by parents to feed the athletes.
Police say over the past three years, she's been falsifying documents and writing herself illegal checks to the tune of about 20,000 dollars.
"We haven't been able to upgrade our equipment, we've been using a lot of old equipment through the years. Haven't been able to buy new uniforms for the kids, send them to tournaments... They've suffered greatly," said Scott Gabriel, the president of the little league.
Enos resigned from her position on the Grayling school board this summer.
She'll be in court later this month to face six embezzlement charges and three counts of forgery.
