MEAP Testing Begins for Students

MEAP testing is underway for students across Michigan.

Many schools spent countless hours preparing for the test.

The MEAP test focuses on many different subjects from math to social studies.

The results are used to measure not only the performance of students but teachers as well.

The MEAP tests days are numbered.

It is being replaced by the Common Core test by 2014.

That's also when the test will go from being written to computerized.

Schools say it will give them results much more quickly.
