Crews Work To Relocate Wildlife in Brown Bridge Pond

Posted: Updated:

Teams are working around the clock to clean up the mess at the Brown Bridge Dam site, and rescue the wildlife whose lives are at risk.

It's a story 9&10 News has been following since the moment it broke on Saturday.

Grand Traverse County's Brown Bridge Dam project had a breach in the dewatering structure, leading to the rapid release of water from the Brown Bridge Dam Pond.

It prompted evacuations, and caused flooding at several homes in the Boardman River Valley.

Today, several groups are working to make sure the wildlife that lived in the pond get to another body of water safely.

9&10's Vanessa Fayz and photojournalist Jeremy Erickson have more on their efforts.
