UPDATE: Suspicious Death Investigation Now Considered Homicide

An update now on a suspicious death investigation in Emmet County.

Deputies are now treating it as a homicide investigation, after they found the body of Lyle Kopenkoskey on the side of Kiebel Road, Wednesday.

The Sheriff's Office says Kopenkoskey died from a gunshot wound.

Tuesday night, his family went looking for him after they learned he didn't show up for work or return home.

When they say his unoccupied truck along Kiebel Road, they called for help.

Investigators found Kopenkoskey's body early Wednesday morning.

The Sheriff wants you to contact his office if you have any information connected to the murder.
