Posted: Updated:

The Centers for Disease Control have confirmed two deaths from Fungal Meningitis, in Michigan, and now 22 confirmed cases in the State.

The Traverse City Facility, Neuromuscular and Rehabilitation, is one of four in the State that administered the contaminated medication.

If you received an injection for back pain, between July and October this year, you should contact your doctor, as soon as possible.

Symptoms of this form of Meningitis show up one to four weeks after infection and include a stiff neck, bad headache, fever, chills, sensitivity to light, vomiting and possible neurological changes.
