Runners Raise Money for Breast Cancer

Posted: Updated:

One event yesterday had many wearing pink and putting on their running shoes.

The Remembrance Run 5K took place at the Timber Ridge Resort in Traverse City.

Unlike many breast cancer fundraiser's that raise money for a cure, this one uses the money raised for the Women's Cancer Fund at Munson Medical Center.

That money is then used for women going through breast cancer treatment. It often helps with things such as child care and bill payments.

Many ran in memory of a loved one or in honor of a survivor. To find out more information on you can donate to this cause, visit http://www.remembrancerun.com/.
