Business Owners Attend Symposium

Posted: Updated:

Many small business owners have experienced the effects of the recession first-hand.

West Shore Bank held a business symposium today, looking to help bring local business owners back to success.

The event at West Shore Community College in Scottville brought out small business owners from Manistee, Mason, and Oceana counties.

David Littman, a senior economist, addressed conference attendees.

He focused on what Michigan must do to re-establish itself with a "top ten" business climate.

It was all meant to help local businesses take advantage of an economic recovery.

Businesses were also taught a number of strategies, including how to deal with upcoming tax changes.
