TC State Theater Invite People to Watch Presidential Debates

Posted: Updated:

The State Theater in Downtown Traverse City invited people in to watch tonight's debate.

The theater completely sold out housing, as more than 500 people anxiously waited to hear what President Obama and Mitt Romney had to say.

The theater plans to show all three Presidential Debates and the Vice Presidential Debate, this month.

Managers at the State Theater feel it's an important way to bring the community together, for something that's so important to our country.

Tom Dayton, the Manager of the State Theater says,

"I think that the debates and the conventions create a dialogue, or the opportunity for a dialogue and when people are together, they can continue that dialogue after the events are over."

It's free to watch debates at the theater, but they do have tickets so they can gauge the level of interest.
