Only two years into the 50 year plan, The Grand Vision is already showing signs of progress.
Crowds packed the Kaliseum in Kalkaska Tuesday night to hear how the project is impacting the community.
Representatives from the Village of Kalkaska accepted a $7,500 grant that will help the village purchase the old chamber of commerce building and a former lumber yard downtown for redevelopment.
Kalkaska is working to restore and improve the Trout fountain and surrounding area thanks to planning dollars from The Grand Vision.
County officials also received grant money at the meeting to update its recreation plan.
