Man Arrested for Sexually Assaulting a Woman at an Antrim County Park, Last Summer

Posted: Updated:

Police say Robert Puroll has been involved in co-ed softball tournaments for years all over the state. Last August he was playing in one with a woman he knew at Craven Park. Court documents show the victim had been drinking and stayed in Puroll's camping trailer at the tournament the night of August 19th, 2011. Documents also reveal that the victim had babysat for Puroll and his wife.  The victim says she awoke to Puroll assaulting her that night in the trailer, told him to stop several times, and eventually managed to get away. It was reported immediately and police made an arrest.

Court records show back in 1992 Puroll was charged with criminal sexual conduct, unarmed robbery, and assault; he took a plea deal for aggravated assault. Police are investigating to see if Puroll may have any other victims.

Awaiting forensic results, Puroll was released a year ago and arrested again this week.
