GM Recalling 40,000 Cars and SUVs For Faulty Fuel Pump

Posted: Updated:

General Motors has issued a recall for 40,000 cars and SUVs because of a faulty fuel pump.

The recall affects the following models: 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt; 2007-2009 Pontiac G-5; 2007 Chevrolet Equinox; 2007 Pontiac Torrent; 2007 Saturn Ion.

GM says the fuel pumps in those vehicles could crack and cause a potentially dangerous fuel leak.

There have been no reports of fires or injuries.
