Multiple Car Pile-Up Sends Three People to Hospital

Multiple vehicles were involved in an accident, sending three people to the hospital.

The accident happened yesterday around 4:00 pm at the intersection of M-18 and Howard Road in Gladwin County.

Witnesses say a 70-year-old man was driving a gray minivan and tried to make a left hand turn onto Howard Road but turned in front of a red minivan causing a head on collision.

A third vehicle rear ended the gray minivan causing a huge pile-up.

The driver of the red minivan was airlifted to a hospital in Saginaw with life threatening injuries.

The two other drivers were taken to area hospital and treated for their injuries.

Police are not releasing the names at this time.

    Knysz was on life support after the suicide attempt that took place Monday afternoon.
