Clare County Police Chase Exceeds 100 MPH

Clare County man is in jail today, accused of leading police on a high speed chase.

A Deputy first pulled over the Lake, Michigan man in a 1990 Firebird on US-10 near Lake Station Avenue yesterday.

After the Deputy talked with the driver for a moment and headed back to his cruiser, the 22-year-old driver fled the scene.

The Deputy chased Cody Wagner at speeds over 100 mph.

The chase ended about a half mile into Osceola County on US-10 when Wagner tried to make a U-turn in front of the officer and spun into a ditch.

Wagner's car had minor damage.

Wagner was taken to jail for fleeing and eluding Police and multiple warrants. His 19-year-old female passenger, Mariah Labonte, was also arrested for having outstanding warrants.
