Trader Joe's Recalling Peanut Butter Which May Be Linked to Salmonella Outbreak

A southeast Michigan child is now among those sickened by a salmonella outbreak linked to peanut butter and almond butter.

Trader Joe's Valencia Creamy Peanut Butter and a variety of almond butter and peanut butter products from Sunland Inc. may be linked to the bacterial outbreak.

The outbreak is linked to 29 salmonella cases in 18 states.

The people infected range in age from less than 1-years-old to 77-years-old, 76% of them being under the age of 18 and 36% are being hospitalized.

Trader Joe's and Sunland Inc. issued a nationwide recall on numerous brands of peanut butter and almond butter.
