4 AM UPDATE: Consumers Energy says the power is back on for everyone this morning after being knocked out by yesterday's winds.
They had outages in Benzie, Cheboygan and Charlevoix counties.
We are working to get updated numbers for Cloverland Electric which had 500 customers without power in the Eastern UP last night.

UPDATE: Strong winds have been an issue all over Northern Michigan today, knocking out power in some areas.
Consumers Energy tells us about 600 customers still remain without power.
Almost 400 of those customers live in Benzie County.
They are also reporting outages in Cheboygan and Charlevoix County.
We're told that Consumers crews will be working throughout the night to restore power by, hopefully, tomorrow morning.
Great Lakes Energy is reporting a handful of their customers are still without power....
And, Cloverland Electric reports a little under 500 customers sprinkled throughout the Eastern UP, are still powerless.

The National Weather service has issued a wind advisory for Charlevoix, Emmet, Leelanau and Mackinac County until 8:00 tonight.
Numerous power outages are being reported in these areas.
Cloverland Electric says about 1,100 of their customers are without power in the St. Ignace, Pickford, DeTour Village, Manistique, Cooks, Garden, Naubinway, Trout Lake, Cedarville and Moran areas. Cloverland says power may not be restored until sometime late tonight or tomorrow.
Great Lakes Energy is working on getting power back for several counties as well. The company is working to restore power for the following counties and customers.
Otsego 181; Charlevoix 33; Lake 14; Osceola 10; Crawford 10; Kalkaska 10; Emmet 9; Mason 2.
The Presque Isle Electric & Gas Co-op say most of the outages were due to fallen trees in Cheboygan County, including 350 on Bois Blanc Island.
They have already restored 3,008 members but 464 are still without power currently. Ferry service to Bois Blanc Island are canceled.
