Excitement Builds as Manistee Soldiers Head Home

Posted: Updated:

After nearly a year away from their families, one group of Northern Michigan soldiers is preparing to come home.

Tomorrow afternoon the Bravo Troop of the 126th Calvary Squadron returns to Manistee.

The National Guard Soldiers have been in Afghanistan for more than 6 months. Their families are anxiously awaiting their return.

This is the third deployment for Nicole Seaborn's husband, she says the night before they return home cannot be put into words.

The public is invited to line the streets of Manistee toward the armory tomorrow beginning around noon.

Bravo troop is expected at the armory around 12:30 with a small ceremony honoring their service.
