Man Calls in Fake Bomb Threat to Get Out of Work

Posted: Updated:

Two Big Rapids men are linked to a Mecosta County bomb threat.

Police arrested the two men, both age 23, this morning but made the bomb threat on Saturday.

Their names are not being released at this time.

Police say the pair planned to call Wolverine World Wide together, by buying a pre-paid phone at a store.

One man is from Sterling Heights and a student at Ferris State University and worked at Wolverine World Wide.

Police say the first man agreed to make the call, so the second man would get out of a mandatory shift.

We'll bring you their names as soon as they are made available.
