Apple announced the latest version of the iPhone today.
Apple says the phone is thinner and lighter than the iPhone 4S, but has a taller screen.
It will also be able to connect to the fastest wireless networks, have a narrower connection port, take pictures faster, and the front-facing camera will be high-definition for videoconferencing.
The new iPhone 5 will be in stores September 21st, pre-orders will start September 14th.
The phone will cost the same as the iPhone 4S did when it first debuted, starting at $199.
The new iPhone isn't just exciting for Apple enthusiasts. According to JP Morgan's chief economist, sales of the next generation smartphone could add up to a half of a percentage point to the fourth quarter GDP.
