Posted: Updated:

Tuesday 8:00am UPDATE: Funeral arrangements are set for Officer Pat O'Rourke. Visitation is tomorrow and Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home in Oakland County's Highland Township. A funeral Mass is Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Fenton, followed by a cemetery service.

Tuesday: 5:00am UPDATE: Ricky Coley's body was dead inside of his house. Police found his body late last night surrounded by knives and other weapons. Police say it's not immediately clear if he took his own life.

Monday 6:00pm UPDATE: Authorities are destroying part of the home that the gunman is hiding in. A heavy machine clawed away at Ricky Coley's home earlier today after he refused to surrender.

Officials say a 12-year veteran police officer was fatally shot in suburban Detroit where police responded to a call about a man in trouble.

Officer Pat O'Rourke was killed Sunday night inside a home in the Oakland County community.

The resident who shot the police officer has barricaded himself inside his home.

The man inside is Ricky Coley, the head of a financial company who is in trouble with regulators.

Lt. Timothy Diamond says Coley was involved in a "divorce situation" and two other people escaped from the home before the 911 call.

The police standoff is still going on outside the West Bloomfield home.
