Police Deal With Record Crowds at Central Football Game

Posted: Updated:

The Central Michigan vs. Michigan State football game brought record crowds to Mount Pleasant for Saturday's game.

Local police have been preparing to deal with the extra visitors for more than a year.

University officials estimate between 50,000 and 60,000 people were in the area for the game.

The match up was the first time Michigan State has played football against Central Michigan in Mount Pleasant.

Local law enforcement worked together to manage traffic, parking, and to keep alcohol consumption under control.

9 and 10's Kyle Mitchell and photojournalist Justin DePrekel have more on how police dealt with the crowds.
