Petoskey Family Creates Unique Petoskey Stone Jewelry

If you've ever hunted along the shores of Northern Michigan for a Petoskey Stone you aren't alone.

Many families create lasting memories on vacations searching for our state stone.

But one family in Petoskey is creating one of a kind pieces with the stone and shipping them across the country.

If you hunt along the beaches you may not find the big ones, the Teskas say sometimes the biggest finds happen in fields or along dirt roads.

Kalin Franks and Stephanie Adkins spent the day learning how the jewelry is made and discovering the history of the famous stone.
