Ice Cream Shops Profit from the Summer Heat

Posted: Updated:

People were out all over Northern Michigan for their last summer time ice cream trip before the kids go back to school.

House of Flavors in Ludington was packed with families looking to cool off in Monday's heat.

The ice cream shop and restaurant says it was likely their last big day for the year.

They say the hot temperatures this summer have brought in crowds making it one of their most profitable summers ever.

House of Flavors hopes if it says warm in the next few weeks visitors will still stop in after the kids get out of school for the day.
