UPDATE: Severe Thunderstorm Warning Canceled for Chippewa and Mackinac Counties

5:30 pm UPDATE: The severe thunderstorm warning has been canceled for Chippewa County and Mackinac County.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm for West central Chippewa County and northwestern Mackinac County may receive damaging winds of 60 mph and penny size hail.

Specific locations include: Gould City, Corinne, Engadine, Hulbert, Naubinway, Gilchrist, Garnet, Rexton, Strongs, Three Lakes, Trout Lake, Epoufette, Fibre, East Lake, Brevort, Rudyard, Loon Lake, Garfield Township and Batty Doe Lake.

The warning is issued until 5:30 pm.
