UPDATE: Second Man Turns Himself In For Beheading Pitbull

Posted: Updated:

We now have an update on a story we've been following since the beginning.

Daniel Weiskirch from Crawford County turned himself in last Wednesday for his involvement with the beheading of a pitbull back in July.

We were told that someone had shot and killed a pit bull on July 28th, near Wilcox Bridge and Jones Lake Roads in Lovells Township.

Weiskirch and Seven Stuart are charged with 2 felony counts of animal cruelty. Weiskirch is currently out on bond.

Deputies from the County, say Seven Stuart turned himself in a week after the incident happened.

Deputies say the suspect called the owner and said since the dog was aggressive, it had to be "put down."

He also admitted to returning the head of the dog to the owner for what he called a "remembrance."
